MobiTraderSA - Return Policy

We strive to provide the best pre-owned gaming consoles and value your happiness. Therefore, we will do all we can to provide a service that meets your requirements.

Our Standard Return Policy

To qualify for returns, you must submit the request within 72 hours after the time the package was delivered. We will do our best to satisfy your order by either repairing, replacing, issuing a credit voucher, or processing a refund for the value of your order.

The following terms and conditions apply to submit a return request.

Does My Order Qualify for Return?

MobiTraderSA deals in pre-owned gaming consoles, meaning the consoles, controllers, games, and other accessories are not new and will never be listed as "brand new." 

We do our best to provide full disclosure with every listing on our website, informing you of any marks, scratches, dents, cracks, and/or any other defects. The person purchasing the item(s) is responsible for reading the description and accepting the listed defects.

If a product from MobiTraderSA is damaged in a way not listed in the product description. In that case, we will collect the item(s) for free and process an exchange, free repair, or refund, subject to testing and verification. 

We require a photo or video of the defects/damage before requesting the courier to collect the item(s).

Should the defects be listed on the original listing, the item will not qualify for a return or refund.

You are responsible for testing the item(s) within 24 hours after accepting the delivery and submitting any faults, defects, or damages. All return requests must be submitted within 72 hours after receiving the delivery. The items submitted for return must not be used further and must be packaged in the original packaging with all accessories for the courier to collect. 

What Does Not Qualify for Returns?

Mistakes can happen, and we're here to help all our valued customers enjoy the best gaming. If you happen to damage the item(s) by accident, we offer discounted repairs.

However, MobiTraderSA is not responsible for any such damage, and therefore, the following will not qualify for returns:

​

  • Any internal or external damage caused by force (dropping, bumping, knocking, etc).

  • Physical damage to ports, including USB Ports, HDMI Ports, Power Supply Ports, and any other Ports. 

  • No gaming consoles, accessories, or other items sold by MobiTraderSA are water resistant or waterproof, and therefore, any liquid damage will not be covered by the return policy or warranty. 

  • Power supplies or electrical damage. Due to load shedding in South Africa, we highly recommend disconnecting your gaming console before electricity is restored to your area. We do not cover any power supplies or power-related issues for returns or under our warranty. Should the item arrive and not turn on, you have 24 hours to submit the return request. 

Returning Unwanted Items (Changed your Mind)

We provide an option to return unwanted items within 72 Hours after accepting the delivery. You can choose to replace the item, accept a voucher, or process a refund, only if the following terms and conditions are met.

To qualify for a refund/replacement, we need to arrange for the courier to collect the item(s), and we need to perform a full test to ensure the item(s) is in the same condition as supplied. A flat service fee applies to returns due to courier fees, testing, and re-socking costs involved. 

​

If any items are missing from the original order, we will deduct the replacement cost of the item. 

​

If the item is damaged in any way not listed in the original listing, you will be liable for the repairs. Repairs need to be completed before we can issue the refund. If the item(s) are not repairable due to damages caused by you, we will not be able to process the refund. 

Damages Covered by Warranty

MobiTraderSA includes a 3 to 6-month warranty on all pre-owned gaming consoles unless stated otherwise in the product listing. All gaming accessories and games are not included with the warranty, as only the gaming console unit is covered for damages.

Suppose a used gaming console from MobiTraderSA is damaged within the warranty period. In that case, we will arrange to collect the item for free and repair it within 14 days, provided the following terms and conditions are met. 

​

  • The console is not physically damaged by force (dropping, knocking, bumping, or any other physical damage caused by the user). 

  • The console has not been liquid-damaged. 

  • The console was cared for and did not get damaged due to neglect.

  •  The console was not opened or modified in any way. 

​

Due to load shedding in South Africa commonly causing power surges, we do not cover any power supplies or power-related issues under the warranty for any gaming console. 

Process of Warranty Repairs

If the gaming console qualifies and is still under warranty, we will have the item collected at no cost and repaired within 14 days (excluding the courier time). Should the repair not be successful or take longer than 14 days, we will offer only the following solutions.

  • Replace the item with another gaming console of the same value. 

  • Process a full refund for the returned item. 

​

Please note that a replacement or refund is only available  period (excluding the courier time) if the console is not repaired. 

Repairs Not Covered by Warranty

If the gaming console or other items do not qualify for warranty repair, MobiTraderSA will repair the console or items at a discounted rate. This only applies to items purchased from the MobiTraderSA website. 

​

The discounted repairs are valid for 12 months and include damages caused by the user. 

​

To request a repair, a once-off service fee of R400 applies, which covers the courier service and inspection. We will quote for the repair and deduct the inspection fee if you choose to proceed with the repair. 

​

Items that cannot be repaired for any reason will still carry the service fee.
